Help and support for new mothers
Many women don't feel comfortable asking for help because it makes us feel like a failure, but this is definitely not the case! In fact the opposite is true.
Many of us experience post natal depression which is a very hard thing to deal with and can be even harder to admit that it is happening to ME, but there are many help and support groups that will help if you ask. Family, friends, doctors and midwives are all great places to start, they will listen and may come up with some great suggestions of what to do next. For those of us that are just too shy there are online forums and support chat rooms and blogs that help by giving advice and no-one need know who you are.
Post natal depression isn't the only thing that us women may need help to come to terms with as our body are no longer what we remember them; which is a very hard thing to take in, not only this but now are breasts have a function they make milk and we can feed our babies which is and sounds beautiful but in reality this can be learning curve and getting our babies to latch on can be a lot more difficult than we expect. But there is help out there which can make our lives a lot easier.
Ladies, don't suffer in silence. If there is something that you are dealing with that is making you uncomfortable or you need help with just ask, you will be surprised how helpful people can be and the difference it will make to your self-confidence and self-esteem.
If you have any advice for our followers who may be experiencing these problems or more please let us know.
