Comic Relief restores my faith in human nature
Firstly I just want to say hats off to the Comic Relief Team. Its a gigantic effort that does amazing stuff. The amazing stuff it does is not just the obvious charitable work and getting help where it is urgently needed. The real amazement is the way which Comic Relief raises the money and awareness of all these issues which it helps. It really manages to get to people, and remind us how lucky we are.
I'm sure no one was failed to be moved by the videos from around the world. The heartbreaking stories. The one which had me in tears the most was the Doctor having to choose which baby did not get oxygen, knowing his choice would lead to that childs death. Thats not a choice anyone should have to make. Ever.
If you go on their site, I love the way you can find out local programmes which are helped. http://www.rednoseday.com/change-lives/the-difference-on-your-doorstep
The record breaking nearly 75 MILLION POUNDS raised on the night is just astounding. It restores my faith in human nature. If you have not donated yet, please do - its very very easy. https://donate.comicrelief.com/donation/
We had a tiny fundraising effort on the Baba Me facebook page last night. For every person who uploaded photos, we agreed to donate £1 to comic relief, and as promised here is a copy of our donation of £50. Thanks everyone for taking part.
