Baba Me travel days
Hi Guys,
Ever the intrepid travellers here at our office, two of us from the Baba Me team were on a fact finding mission the the UK in the wet and the rain yesterday. It was oh such an early start at 5am, those days recall me wondering what I am at up so early in the morning and leaving your little lovies tucked up in bed to snuggle away and sleep a few more hours. My other half resonates the super dad status as he gets his children organised and on mode for an organised day of taking care of the childcare, laundry and cooking(mind you he is becoming a bit of an expert!), school pick ups, swimming lessons, forging ahead with the daily routine in my absence.
I just wonder how all of you working mums out there manage everything? When your professional life has to happily coincide with your families daily routines how do you keep it going? Organised like a finely tuned greased wheel with exceptional attendance to your little starlights needs and wants? It's a juggling act lets face it and the only way to strategize how to get from one end of the week to the next is swift planning and keeping on top of things. Any tips greatly welcomed!
Although I have to say my kids love travelling too, our mid term breaks offer an opportunity to pack up our bags and ride on's, getting excited about visiting friends and relatives and leaving our little routine world for a few days while we adventure off escaping the madness for a little while. We don't often take flights but when we do we consider things to do on-board that will keep us entertained and sitting comfortable for a for an hour or two."Fat chance" I hear you say about your 18month old wriggling away no end under your 14E window seat!
All in a days, week's, month's, year's parenting, what lies ahead with this year's travels whether home or abroad? It makes sense to have some of that fine tuned, greased-wheeled organisation in tact for travelling either solo or as an ensemble!
