bugaboo celebrates the 1-year anniversay of RED partnership
The Baba Me baby shop in Newry has always been a big fan of bugaboo. But when they announced that they were creating a partnership with (RED) we were delighted. Its been one year since that announcement and in that time the Bugaboo (PRODUCT)RED have provided enough medication for 37,000 pregnant women to reduce the risk of transmission of HIV from mother to child. Moreover, Bugaboo is the first of the (PRODUCT)RED partners to contribute 1% of their total revenue- across all products- to the Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa. This means more woman and children living with HIV in Africa will get the medicine they need to lead healthy lives.
It's fantastic to see top brands like bugaboo giving something back to society, even during times of recession. Going further than other (RED) partnerships, Bugaboo gave 1% from ALL products, not just the limited edition bugaboo red cameleons. So when buying your bugaboo cameleon or bugaboo bee, or any bugaboo accessories from baba me, you will be safe in the knowledge that you are helping to save thousands of lives. How great is that, you get to buy a brilliant pram {our favourite!}, AND saves lives. WIN WIN all around.
The (RED) charity, founded by Bono, was designed to help eliminate aids in Africa and has done some fantastic work, read all about it on their site.
