The wonder of Baby Food

Have you ever pondered what you are feeding your baby and hoped that you could make just one meal that everyone could eat. Time constraints are heavy on all of us and it can be difficult to know what foods you can give to your baby. But, The River Cottage Baby and Toddler Cookbook that is out now helps with all of this.

The authors of this cookbook have a great philosophy as they beleive that the transission to solid food is about more than just nourishment; this is the begining of a lifelong adventure with food. This cookbook helps provides recipes for using freshly grown vegatables that can be grown at home in an imaginative way to feed the family and how to prepare if for your baby and toddler.

I think this is a great idea and the fact that the whole family is eating the same foods (albeit presented slightly differently) it feels like everyone is effectively sharing a meal together.

There are many fantastic cookbooks for weaning, feeding the family and how to eat whilst pregnant and breastfeeding. Annabel Karmel is one such author that everyone at Baba Me would highly recommend and there are many many more, that can help make dinner time that little bit easier and nourishing.

If you would like to recommend any cookbooks to our followers we would be delighted to hear from you.

The Baby-led weaning cookbook is also excellent for meals ideas - even if you puree wean then this would be really useful once you move on to finger foods. Although I challenge anyone who reads the intro not to be inspired to try the baby-led approach!
