Music - the rhythm of fun
The music corner of the Baba Me Shop has had a lot of attention of late! According to our mums this is because their children react so well to all the new sounds and they find it a fantastically fun way to play with their children.
Music is a great way to spend quality time with your child, have fun and teach them about language, creativity, rhythm and tone all at once.

Research has shown that music played to your child while still in the womb has a beneficial effect on their brain and helps to lay the foundation for later learning. Music can help soothe your baby to sleep and encourage a good bedtime routine. Teaching your child nursery rhymes with actions helps to improve motor skills, learn balance, co-ordination and body awareness.
Music can evoke so many emotions it can make you excited, relaxed, happy and much more! Of course the same applies to your baby. Many of our mums have said that they use music to help relax a nervous baby at bath time, or keep a child amused in the car and most say it is a special time to share with their special little bundle of joy.
If you play an instrument, learn a few nursery rhymes to play and sing along with them. You will take pleasure in watching them dancing along to your tunes and the whole family can join in and enjoy the experience.

Have the camera ready though because with every new word and movement you will get so many great memories to capture as they learn to dance and sing.
We would love to hear all of your memories with your child and their reactions to music!
