Bye bye thrush!
Many women never think of the effects that using sanitary pads or tampons can have on their health. I no I most certaintly never did. To me a sanitary towel was a sanitary towel, I never thought that they would contain harmful parabens, sodium benzoate, SHG, Phenoxyethanol or formaldehydes. This was a very scary realisation as these very often can be the cause of irritation and repeated bouts of thrush! One in six gyneacologists say that women notice the symtoms of thrush to be at their worst around the time of their period.
When I stopped to think about this I started to realise that I too was one of these poor unfortunate souls. And it was definately worse at my time of the month. I started to research further into this to see if there were anyways to relieve this constant itch and irritation! I know too much information but anyone who has gone through this torture will completely understand my torment.
One of the first pieces of advice that I received was to switch to cotton underwear as synthetic materials can cause even more discomfort.
So, changing to all cotton sanitary towels and tampons seemed to me to be the most logical step in reducing the cause of these frustrations. Then I discovered Natracare p
roducts and they turned out to be a life saver. No exaggeration. I was now able to chat without worrying that people noticed that I wasn't fully paying attention to what they were saying as my itch was driving me insane!

The reason I switched 10+ years ago to washable pads was that I used to get several infections a year from tampons and disposable pads, even though I changed them frequently.
