Budget Tips for Holidaying with Kids
Recently we asked our fans on Facebook what are their best budgeting ideas for new mums, in keeping with this I thought I would reiterate a few of these tips and add a few of my own specially for the holidays.
Kids love to spend time with YOU. A wise old friend once said to me that T.I.M.E is how to spell love to a child. So don't worry about taking them to fancy arcades, a trip to the park or a picnic is perfect! All you need is a loving family and a ball (quite possibly the best toy ever created, in my humble opinion of course) parks are great too for fresh air and a run around. Kiddies really don't need expensive trips out!
Don't overbuy! It is so tempting to buy your child every new toy they want or do every activity they can think of when your on holiday but it will just be a waste of money and will only entertain them for a short time.
Try making as many snacks as possible and take them with you, and don't forget the drinks this could save you a small fortune.
Try separating your money into daily budgets so that you won't be tempted to over spend and if you manage to save any money one day you can carry that on to the next and have a special treat!
And you don't have to leave the house. There are plenty of free activities you can do at home, try fun recipes, play dough and who can resist an Easter treasure hunt!!
Hope this helps, and if you have any tips for our followers we would love to hear them.
