St Patricks Day Tri Colour Sale

The day with so much wonder and surprise!

We all love to live up to our Irish stereotype and drink plenty in the name of the Irish patron saint, the incredible St Pat who rid Ireland of the snakes and brought Christianity to the emerald Isle; but lets think back to what it was like back in the day when St Patrick’s day was one of the most exciting family days of the year when we couldn’t sleep for the thoughts of the parade and all the beautiful floats, the face paints and the candy floss.

St Patricks day can be the most incredibly exciting time for children and families. When I was little I could never sleep for the excitement, skipping into wake up my own mother at day break to put my face paint on and my ever so colourful little outfit that was going to stand out a mile. We all hoped that our giant paper mache St Patrick was going to be just as eye catching and beautiful as all the others. Every community group would work so hard on their aspect of the parade making them colourful and striking letting their imaginations run wild. There were dancers and bands all dressed in the most beautiful little outfits to make any little girl want join in, the floats were so creative, we had people on stilts and those special little characters dressed up as little leprechauns and cartoon characters. I was the first one to climb up to MY spot where everyone could see me; after all I had the very important job of throwing out the sweets to all the boys and girls in the crowd. After the parade I felt like a celeb walking around as if everyone should know my name. My families’ faces were so proud as I climbed down from what to me seemed like the biggest giant St Patrick ever made. I ran into my mother’s arms and we all laughed and joked our way to the fun fair… Can’t all St Patricks days be just as magical.

To help all the little cloth bums out there we have a fabulous deal to ensure they are all kitted out in Green, White and Gold. Or in nappy terms, Ribbit, White and Econobum.

i've never been to the parade, but i am lucky to have a best friend whos irish, so that pretty much makes me irish for the day, i think! we of course have to go to church but the main celebrations take place in the local irish karaoke pub, we get dressed up, blag ourselves a big guinness hat and drink guinness all night. Thats about all i remember from the many st patrics day celebrations we've had, after we get to the pub my mind seems to go blank!

My main memory of St. Patricks day growing up was of marching in the parade with all the other girls from "brownies"...I never liked that brownies uniform with its blue dress, blue woolen tights, yellow tie and blue wool hat but St. Patricks day was the one day I didnt kick up a fuss for my poor mum!! Just could not wait to get down and march in the parade - such great memories of me, all the other brownies and of course Tawny owl and brown owl!!

St Patrick day is finally here,
White, green & gold everywhere,
What a day of joy and happiness,
Brightening up everyone with merriment,
If they aren't already drunk with enjoyment.

A sure way to help keep the world clean
Is by using a nappy that’s GREEN
With a WHITE Econobum prefold
You’ll save plenty of GOLD
And there’s Bumgenius’ and Flips if you’re keen

Econobum, simple and WHITE
Is great through the day but at night,
Worth its wet weight in GOLD
And with no complex fold
Is the Bumgenius clean, GREEN, delight

If you’re on holiday but want to stay GREEN
But there’s no lovely WHITE washing machine
Don’t spend all your GOLD on disposable
When Flips are oh so simple
They offer an option in-between

He wears white gold and green,
but the leprechaun's seen,
he's shown up by the babys cloth bottoms,
the colours are lush,
look great on the tush,
and make babys look cute as a button.

(i couldnt resist doing a limeric aswell)

I've never been to a St Patricks Day Parade - we didn't have them in Australia when I was growing up. St Patricks day was always special in our house, apart from us being Kennedy's, it was my sister, Erin's birthday. I did have an Irish dancing dress that I wore every year, unfortunately I didn't have the skill to dance.

Those disposables are quite comical.
The prices, they are astronomical!!!
But in our white, gold and green.
Genius Bums to be seen.
In our fluffy Bum so economical.

We went to St Patrick's Day themed party for kids at the Irish Centre seeing as we have a lot of Irish blood in us, my one year old tipped green paint over himself, his blonde locks still have a tint to them. my two year old stage-crashed the Irish dance performance, not that anyone else minded as he is a little charmer and the next Michael Flatley might I add ;-) and my little one got a change to show off his lovely green BG in the changing room, grasshopper though as ribbit was in the bucket at home waiting for poo maintenace hehe. They all wore green clothes and nappies to match for the day.

Ribbit or Grasshopper green,
And Clementine gold look supreme
If your budget is tight
Have an Econobum in White
They're all great and environmentally clean

There once was a wee Irish chappie,
Who wanted a St.Patick's Day nappy,
His mammy said "Seamus,
Since you're too young for Guinness,
Would a Clementine Flip make you happy?"

There was a girlie called Caoimhe,
Who acted like a diva,
With a nappy bright green,
She was a sight to be seen,
My beautiful Bumgenius believ-ah!

Paddy was a great wee lad
Even though he lost his dad
He tended sheep
On a mountain steep
Long he is remembered both near and far
By many thousands who prop up the bar!
March 17th is the day to be seen
Wearing lots and lots of clothing green!
Marching up and down the street
Many friends to see and greet
Paddy's day has always been great
So this time next year don't you be late!
