Mr. Duracell & Bumgenius have their cake!

WOW! What a birthday bash! We are all still in delighted shock at Baba Me HQ with the volume, level and enthusiasm of bumGenius V3 nappies that you women went CRAZY for over the weekend! Well done! We have been chuckling here at HQ! While Mr. Duracell was burning off some 5th birthday energy you lot were on fire online, packing in a bargain!
It just shows what loyalty there is out there for quality brands (if we don’t mind saying so ourselves), and the proof is in the pudding, there is a genuine LOVE of the bumGenius V3’s that has just soared over the last couple of years! We did our best to give the V3 collection the celebration it deserved with a brilliant in-store party on Saturday too.
Our local following made a big effort to come in-store early, avail of some freebies and some expert advice on a few topics like babywearing, cloth nappies and nursing lingerie! Our local customers were so thrilled at getting a bumGenius V3 for free the minute they walked through the door!
We had mums packing into our changing room to get kitted out in our sensual, practical & purposeful lingerie ranges Hotmilk and Cake. The matching sets proved a massive hit, so many mums commented on how it is difficult to get fitted properly while pregnant and nursing. It’s amazing really how many mums out there are not getting measured sufficiently for nursing underwear. It’s so important to emphasise that this can be really damaging to your milk production as well as not offering you the correct support for your sizing.
While we offer a bespoke fitting service at our shop in Newry we always tell mums to be to have a fitting at 3 months and again at 7 months to make sure you are fitted correctly. Most mums were asked to tell what they thought their bra size was, and when measured got a bit of a shock! Boobs change all the time when you are expecting!
And of course Andrea (mum of 5) helped Mr. Duracell celebrate his birthday with some storytelling and Cake it was a bit of a mission but we loved every minute of it! The Cake was Gorg! Then the kids had so much fun at the soft play next door, 5pm home time for the grown and a glass of wine to celebrate a very very successful 5th birthday!
